Hazardous Materials Spills: Who Does What, When?

Hazardous materials spills and releases require a swift response that follows definitive guidelines. While anyone can report a spill to 911, it is the responsibility of the Owners, Operators, Licensee, Persons in Charge, and Employers to contact the California Emergency Management Agency, California State Warning Center regarding significant releases from facilities, vehicles, vessels, pipelines and railroads.
